If you spent the last month relaxing after the craziness of Christmas, gift shopping, parties, etc. We have some bad news, so sit down… Valentine’s Day is just right around the corner! Don’t start to panic yet, you still have plenty of time and we are here to help you if you have no idea what to do. Try to do something personalized and creative. Here are a couple of our favorite ideas to help give you a start.
Traditional Gift with a Twist
You can always get something traditional like jewelry or a gift card to buy new clothes and accessories, and personalize the experience in your own special way. You could leave clues around the house to lead her to a hiding spot, or make a series of riddles to solve before finally revealing what you bought. Make it into a game or treasure hunt so she has to work for her gift. If you want to go the extra step, you could record the process and turn it into a short movie later. Taking the effort to make the gift exchange into an experience rather than just trading presents is sure to leave a lasting impression on her this year.
Personalized Coupon Book
It may sound corny, but it can be a really great and thoughtful gift. If you don’t have the money to get something material or she already has everything she could want, spend some time getting creative and make some quality coupons. If you go this route, be sure to put some serious effort into them however or it could come off as a last minute poor attempt to give her something. Maybe you can include pictures of the two of you and special reminders that you care.
A Day Away
Sometimes, the best gift you could give is a day away at the spa, especially for the moms out there. Find a local spa with full treatments and book her an appointment. Take the kids for the day and let her relax all to herself. This could be the only time in a long time she get the opportunity.
